Pastor Cory recently started a sermon series in Jeremiah called “The Church at Its Best.” No, this is not a series where the pastor tries to give a few “simple steps” to living life at its best. Instead, the name for the series is derived from a book by Eugene Peterson called “Run With the Horses: The Quest for Life at Its Best.” In the book, Peterson does exactly what he says in the title—he goes on a quest through the life and ministry of Jeremiah in order to glean truth about life at its best. I have taken Peterson’s “skeleton” and projected it to the whole Church. If Jeremiah consistently lives life at its best and calls Judah to life at its best, I wonder what kind of fruit we could glean from Jeremiah’s life and ministry as the church today. I wonder if Jeremiah could teach us what the Church is at its best. Every week of the series, we will be journeying through Jeremiah, asking the question: “What is the Church at its best?”

It is our privilege to welcome you to worship with us here in the Church of the Nazarene.   We want you to know that above all else, we love our Lord and Savior  -  Jesus  Christ and the Word of  God,

that  so  clearly  teaches  about  His life & ministry.

In John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no man comes to the Father but through Me.”  We believe that God has a marvelous plan for Christian believers that includes an “abundant & victorious life” on earth and a “glorious eternity” with the Father in Heaven.  We have discovered that the love, grace and forgiveness found only in Jesus Christ has made a difference in our daily lives.

We invite you to come and join us and to help us share this biblical message of truth with our families, friends, and neighbors in the Kingsburg area.
